Computer Science & Public Policy
I love Pokémon :D
I think about how to use technology to improve lives and strengthen communities! I also break things to rebuild them more efficiently and securely. At Duke, I serve on the Student Advisory Board for the Office of Undergraduate Education, where I work with campus leadership to enrich the undergraduate experience.
My path to Duke has been far from traditional. Previously, I developed tech for public good in the Singapore Government, led teams at a youth charity to expand equitable access to opportunities in tech, and served in the army. I am also the first student to be admitted to Duke from the polytechnic system in Singapore, which produces 20,000 graduates per year.
Broadly, my current interests lie in social equity, tech policy, and cybersecurity. I also love outdoor adventure, libraries, and meeting new people. I'm hopeful about building a future that is just, equitable, and digitally empowered!
This diverse and supportive community of curious, socially conscious thinkers offers the perfect environment to grow in and contribute to. I’m so grateful to be a part of SPIRE!
