Fun Fact

My favorite place to be is traveling somewhere new.

As a little girl, I asked my dad what job I should have if I loved math. He told me I should be an engineer. Ever since, I have enjoyed pursuing computer science and engineering in summer programs, high school classes, and now at Duke. Engineering and other STEM subjects fascinate me with the problem-solving and expanded thinking that they require. Eventually, I hope to do software engineering for a company whose product excites me.

On campus, I am most involved with the Line Monitors and Duke Ski and Board. When I get a chance, I love to ski, travel, hike, and enjoy the outdoors.

So far, Duke has been the perfect place for me, and I can’t wait to continue my career here. From studying for midterms to spending weeks in KVille, I’ve made many of my favorite memories on this campus. I can’t wait for my last year here and the many opportunities afterward.

What do you like about being a SPIRE Fellow?

SPIRE provides the resources I need to do the best I can at Duke and helps me get involved in opportunities that might have been daunting beforehand. It’s a support program in two ways: resources and community.
