Brandon Fain is an Assistant Professor of the Practice in the Department of Computer Science. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Duke University in 2019, where he received the Department’s Outstanding Dissertation Award for his Thesis on Algorithms for Public Decision Making and the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics from Transylvania University in 2014. Dr. Fain teaches courses in algorithms and data science, and his research focuses on algorithmic fairness in artificial intelligence, computational economics, and multi-agent systems.
