Arnold Tao

I am from San Jose, California and have a BS in biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. Here at Duke, I am currently a 6th year PhD student in biomedical engineering at Duke University working on developing genetically encoded fluorescent biosensors to study how cells react to microenvironmental stimuli. In addition to my PhD work, I really enjoy working with students and am currently both a Graduate Assistant for SPIRE and Graduate Resident for Hollows Quad. Outside of my work, you will often find me rock climbing, hiking/camping, watching movies, reading or playing board games.
